Choosing Hand Pallet Jacks
Choosing Hand Pallet Jacks
Hand pallet trucks, also known as pump trucks, manual pallet trucks, or pallet jacks, provide the simplest way to transport palletized goods manually.
When selecting a hand pallet truck, consider first the weight of the goods you'll regularly move. Our AM20 model comfortably transports loads of up to 2,000 kg, typically the highest weight that's manageable for manual pallet trucks. For slightly heavier loads, our AM22 model supports up to 2,200 kg, making it an ideal choice if additional capacity is required. If your goods exceed this limit, it's usually best to consider an electric pallet truck.
The next factor is fork size. The most common fork dimensions chosen from Jungheinrich Shop Malaysia are 1150 mm (length) by 540 mm (fork width), ideal for handling standard Euro pallets. If you handle industry-sized pallets, you'll require forks measuring 1054 mm by 540 mm.
Finally, selecting the right wheels is crucial. Steering wheels typically come in nylon, rubber, or polyurethane, while fork rollers are available in either nylon or polyurethane, in single or tandem configurations. Our best-selling AM20 hand pallet truck features polyurethane steering wheels combined with polyurethane tandem fork rollers.
